Key West Restaurants on Simonton Street

Key West Restaurant Guide

In order to better acquaint you, our loyal readers and prospective Key West visitor, we have decided to compile a comprehensive guide to all your Key West restaurants. This list will help you sort through the plethora of restaurants in Key West to find the right one for you whether it be based on location, price, cuisine, ambiance or whatever else. Here is a group of some of our favorite restaurants split up by location. We start off with restaurants on Simonton Street (Duval Street's quieter and some say prettier twin, located one street over) then head over to the Historic Marina area and then head over to Caroline Street.

Key West Restaurants on Simonton Street

At the south end of picturesque Simonton Street lies a true gem that can easily be overlooked. The Southernmost Deli is one of the best Key West restaurants to stop in for a quick bite to eat especially if you are strolling through the south end of Old Town. The place is known for its humungous sandwiches, fresh deli meat, and proximity to popular Key West southernmost landmarks including the Southernmost Point buoy, South Beach, and the Southernmost House. The Southernmost Deli is an ideal quick lunch stop as you are going on your tour of historic Key West.

Heading north on Simonton Street, you will then see the gorgeous Santa Maria Suites on your right. These are some of the most luxurious condo accommodations in Key West with the best location. At the lobby of this Key West hotel, you will discover a Key West restaurant that has become a true favorite of locals on the island who seek something that serves more than your typical conch fritters and mahi mahi sandwiches. Ambrosia is one of the several Key West restaurants that looks far and beyond the tiny four mile island and provides its guests with world-class tastes and sleek city-like designs. If you want to take someone out for an unforgettable Key West dining experience, Ambrosia would be the place to go. With its unique and gourmet sushi selection, its impressive interior decoration, and attentive staff, you can never go wrong with Ambrosia.

Up the street a little way, you will find a Key West restaurant that is loved and praised all across the board, Sarabeth's. Whether you come here in the morning before exploring historic downtown Key West or in the afternoon after a snorkeling trip on the Key West coral reef, Sarabeth's has one of the most diverse menus of any of the Key West restaurants. If they are known for one thing, it's their buttermilk and lemon ricotta pancakes. But their unique dining options go well beyond lemon ricotta pancakes. For breakfast, try their delicious spinach and goat cheese omelet, for lunch choose roasted chicken quesadilla with poblano peppers, and for dinner get one of their fresh catches (yellowtail snapper, salmon or mahi mahi) or try their delectable green chili pepper macaroni and 3-cheeses.
