Located 70 miles west of Key West, the Dry Tortugas National Park is a wildlife refuge like no other. Here, you will be out in the middle of the ocean, civilization well behind you. The Tortugas Islands offer some of the best snorkeling in the entire United States with the coral reef just feet from the white sandy shores of the islands. While out in the Dry Tortugas you will also see a military prison during the Civil War, Fort Jefferson. The Yankee Freedom is a luxurious vessel that makes daily trips out to the islands. It is made to carry 250 people but only 150 are allowed to travel each day, making the trip out to the Tortugas spacious and comfortable. The trip includes snorkeling gear, breakfast, buffet style lunch, and a guided tour of the fort.
