Snuba is a method of underwater swimming in which the swimmer uses the swimfins, diving mask, weights, and breathing apparatus commonly used in scuba diving, but the air tanks which are usually strapped to the back are instead laid horizontally on 5-foot-long rubber pontoon rafts. The rafts remain on the water's surface.
Imagine diving into the crystal blue waters of the ocean and exploring a reef with a helpful guide. During the entire underwater adventure, you are always connected to a floating air supply system, making it a 100% safe trip for you. If you have never been snuba diving you have nothing to worry about. All instructions are provided to you as you travel in the boat, on your way to the dive destination. Otherwise, your guide can help you as you travel into the depths of one of the most beautiful, natural habitats in the world, the ocean.
What is Snuba?
SNUBA is a unique, shallow water diving system, bridging the gap between snorkeling and scuba diving. There is no certification required to participate in this trip.
Does weather affect the dive locations?
Occasionally, the weather will hinder our ability to dive at our usual reef gardens. During incliment weather days, we do our best to go out and sometimes this requires alternate dive locations that are protected from high winds and such.
What is the weather cancellation policy?
If the activity must be cancelled due to bad weather, and you cannot reschedule, you will be issued a full refund.
Where is the departure point for this tour?
Check-in instructions will be included in your activity confirmation email.
When do I need to arrive for check-in?
Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your activity time. Your departure time will be listed on your confirmation email.
How much time do you get in the water?
You will be in the water for about 80 minutes. Actual dive time will range from 25-45 minutes depending on air consumption.
It is your responsibility to make sure you are aware of and understand all restrictions pertaining to this tour before booking online or over the phone. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are medically qualified and within any limits listed below in order to participate in this activity. No refunds will be given to those who reserve a spot and can not participate due to the restrictions listed below. Restrictions
- All participants MUST know how to swim in order to participate in the snuba dive
- PLEASE NOTE: All cruise ship passengers (except for those coming off a Norwegian cruise ship) MUST book directly through their cruise line. No exceptions
- All participants must be at least 8 years old
YOU MUST wait a minimum of 24 hours before flying afterward Snuba - You must be able to swim and 8 years old or older. Some medical restrictions apply (ie. heart conditions, respiratory problems, diabetic, pregnant, etc)
- Any changes to Snuba reservations must be done at least 24 hours in advance, from the tour time.
