For a laid-back evening sipping martinis and listening to jazz, head to Virgilios, located at 524 Duval St. This restaurant and bar is one of Key West’s classiest establishments, but don’t worry, as with most of the islands bars and restaurants, there is no dress code. Virgilio’s offers a wide-variety of martinis, all of which are tastefully and delicately prepared, blending the perfect amount of vodka or gin into each mouth-watering concoction. The drinks can be a little pricey ($11+) but each martini comes with a sidecar, so you’re really paying for two martinis. Virgilio’s has live jazz music nearly every night. If visiting, be sure to check out the back lounge, an open-air seating area with mellow lighting, trees that grow up throw the floor boards, and intimate tables perfect for one-on-one conversation. If I had to choose a favorite bar in Key West (perhaps the world) it would be Virgilio’s. When you go, prepare for a cool evening, and have a sidecar for me
